Filmmaker Dan Gilroy, director of 2014's unforgettable Nightcrawler, and Jake Gyllenhaal join forces again to produce what seems to be another promising film titled Velvet Buzzsaw. Not only does the trailer for thriller look amazing, but the movie also managed to land its way into the Sundance Film Festival.

The film's plot goes as follows, “After a series of paintings by an unknown artist are discovered, a supernatural force enacts revenge on those who have allowed their greed to get in the way of art.”

The movie is certainly intriguing, especially if it will be similar to Nightcrawler, and it is definitely exciting to see Dan Gilroy's working with Gyllenhaal again.

6. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Fans of Quentin Tarantino have been dying to see what the director has in store next for the world with his film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Since we have no trailer yet it is still hard to see what he has in mind, however we do know some smaller details about the movie.

Tarantino's ninth film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will give audiences a look at what Hollywood was like in 1969. The cast includes legendary actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Al Pacino. However the thing that has people talking the most is the backdrop of the film, which will cover the extremely controversial and shocking Manson Murders.

4. Star Wars: Episode 9

Genre: Sci-Fi/ Action

Since 1977 Star Wars has shocked the world with plenty of space adventures spanning across many decades. However, like all great things, it will soon come to an end with the conclusion of Star Wars: Episode 9.

J.J. Abrams, director of The Force Awakens, will be stepping back in the director chair once again to finish the series. Star Wars: Episode 9 will take place sometime after The Last Jedi and is going to conclude the Skywalker saga. It has also been said to revisit places and characters from the past films, and the ending will tie all of the movies together.

This does not mark the end for Star Wars content however, as spin-off movies and television shows will continue to be made in the following years to come.

3. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

Genre: Action/ Thriller

Release Date: May 17th

Cast: Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, and more.

John Wick Chapters 1 and 2 were international successes and held in regards as some of the best action movies ever made. This made it no surprise that a third installment would be made to continue the story, and luckily for fans we now have our first look with the official trailer.

John Wick Chapter 3 - Parabellum is the third movie in the John Wick series and has us follow the legendary assassin once again. After killing a fellow member of the international assassins guild, John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, has a 14 million dollar bounty placed on his head and must fight for his life in order to escape New York alive.

It is certainly a treat to have a third movie in the works, and if it is as good as either of the first two this has the potential to be one of the best trilogies in film history.

In 2017 we got our first look at Jordan Peele's mystery thriller Get Out, which came out of nowhere and surprised the world. Fast forward two years and we now have our first look at Jordan Peele's Us, which is his next project in the works. Not much is known at the moment about the overall plot of the movie, but we do get a glimpse at the horror he has in store with the official trailer.
