The Marching Dukes at Norton's "Art in Motion"

The Marching Dukes of Marlington performed at Norton High School’s “Art in Motion” competition on Saturday, October 12th.

The band presented their completed show “RGM” to the Norton judges, featuring soloists Chance Gaczkowski on Soprano Saxophone, Karina DeLeon on Marching French Horn and Breanna Baumgarten on Trumpet. With the show complete with props, music, and marching on the field, the band expected a much-improved rating compared to their previous performance at Akron University.

Class A bands included New Philadelphia and Coventry High School, with Marlington receiving 3rd place and an overall III rating. Confident in their performance despite their ranking the Marching Dukes look forward to their next opportunity in order to qualify for state.
