Musical School-Board Chairs

The results are in; Josh Hagan and Danielle Stevens have won the School Board election, replacing Mark Ryan as President and Thomas Hippely as Vice-President.

For the people of the district, it was a very narrow race, with specific results for Hagan 28.29%; Hippley 21.59%; Ryan 22.83%; Stevens 27.29%.

Our staff reached out to the four of them to get their final thoughts on the outcome of this election; we have only received a response from Thomas Hippely. When asked if he had any final comments, Mr. Hippely stated that he “will continue to help wherever [he’s] needed. [He] just would like to thank the Marlington community for the privilege and opportunity of serving for the past four years.”

As the election comes to a close, all we can do is vote; to make sure our voice is heard, and to keep democracy alive. Condolences to Hippely and Ryan, and congratulations to Hagan and Stevens. We hope that they will do their best to make this district the best it can be.
