Favorite Thanksgiving Food

Thanksgiving: a time to celebrate family, fun, friends and most importantly food, as most people prioritize food as their main way to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Marlington High School students were asked to take a survey provided by The Grand Duke, asking: what is your favorite Thanksgiving food? Why was this your favorite food? What is your other favorite Thanksgiving food? What is your least favorite Thanksgiving food? Why is this your least favorite? Do you prefer side dishes, main dishes, or desserts? Why do you prefer that type of dish the most? What type of dish is your least favorite? Why is this dish your least favorite?

Results came in, and mashed potatoes were the clear favorite Thanksgiving food. Here is a Thanksgiving recipe for mashed potatoes that will be sure to fill plates up at Thanksgiving dinner.

Another favorite Thanksgiving food was turkey and pumpkin pie. While most students favorited turkey because it’s a classical Thanksgiving food; other favorite Thanksgiving foods were pumpkin pie because “I feel as if the flavors blend really well together while giving me a taste of home.” While others enjoyed it because “My Grandma taught me how to make it.” Some would even describe it as “A really good dessert for after a filling meal.”

No matter if your favorite is mashed potatoes, turkey, pumpkin pie or another item; Thanksgiving meal seems to bring us all together to enjoy some time together making special memories.
