The choral department of Marlington has outdone themselves once again with yet another successful Christmas concert. Choir director Mr. Al-Hadid continues to impress his audiences while continuing the tradition of choir concerts from the past.
The concert featured many classic Christmas songs, along with several new songs inspired by original Christmas songs. Some songs performed include “Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas”, Joy to the World”, “Carol of the Bells”, “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Mary Did You Know?”, and “Come All Ye Faithful”.
The choir concert also allowed the audience to participate in sing-a-longs: “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, “The Christmas Song” and “Night of Silence”.
The choral department is made up of Marlington Chorale, Advanced Women’s Chorus, Mixed Choir, Duke Street and Duchess Voices.
Duke Street also incorporated a few soloists into its performance, highlighting singers Nicholas Kish, Lilyan Ronske, Jordyn Ritchie and Daniel Greco.
The Marlington Choir will return on Tuesday, March 19th at 7pm.
