Bowling Recap: Week 2/9/20

The week of February 9th, the Marlington boys and girls bowling team took on three different schools resulting in both wins and losses for each team. Sunday, the girls performed in a tournament against fifteen different schools; followed by matches Jackson Polar Bears, United Golden Eagles, and Massillon Tigers.
Marlington girls placed 5th for the 2020 Stonehenge Tournament in Akron. Although the team did not make it to districts, seniors Alex Lemaster (ranking 9th) and Mikayla Robinson (ranking 11th) both qualified for districts. Good luck to them.
On Monday, February 10th, the Dukes lost against Jackson with a strong fight. High game for the girls was Alex Lemaster with a 182 and a high series of 351. For the boys, Josh Wise with a high game of 204 and a 359 series. Varsity girls also broke records with their highest individual baker of 226 and highest baker total of 663. Sabryna Kinch led JV with a 144 game and a 249 series.
On Tuesday, February 11th, the girls gave United a taste of their own medicine with a win. High game for the girls was Alex Lemaster with a 210 and a 409 series. For the boys, Keegan Lambdin held a high game of 202 and TJ Wilson, a 357 series. From JV, Sabryna Kinch had a high game of 118 and a 205 series.
School records were made during the match. Single game 10 pin - 863 (+59), two game 10 pin - 1621 (+78), and match total - 2146 (+62). The boys team also received their highest baker game of 728 (+62).
Wednesday, February 12th wrapped up the week with a loss against Massillon. High game for the girls was Mikayla Robinson with a 168 as well as a 285 series. For the boys, TJ Wilson held a high game of 140 and high series of 294.
